So, I thought it might be interesting to explain how CEEPO can build bicycles that can adapt to different types of bike course. Ironman Lanzarote is a very particular race, because the bike course alternates stretchs of road with several climbs to others very linear and fast. I used VIPER-R because it was my first CEEPO bike in this triathlon season, so I thought it might the best choice for Lanzarote. CEEPO geometry is designed for long distance triathlon where a stable ride translate to better bike split as athlete feel safe to stay in aero position longer and more often. The VIPER-R’s non-UCI design is 100% dedicated to the sport of triathlon, as well as the grade of seat tube (78,5°). In particular, the lenght of top tube allows a “comfortable” position for a best physical condition in the fast bike courses with very linear stretchs of road, providing a definite aero advantage. The perfect wheels for VIPER-R are Metron 81 by Vision, and clearly Metron Disc by Vision (if possible).

KATANA’s non-UCI design is 100% dedicated to your triathlon life, more “responsive” and “sinewy” than VIPER-R. KATANA’s frame is slightly short than VIPER-R, allowing a perfect driveability and comfort (downhill expecially) for improved high speed stability and better overall aerodynamics, as well as on several climbs where you can perceive its lightness and reaction. The difference in terms of weight with VIPER-R is only 200 g, but it’s very perceptible! The perfect wheels for KATANA (considering its geometry) are Metron 55 by Vision, so light and aerodynamics. Next sunday, July 23, I will race for the first time at Ironman France in Nice, a very hard bike course with its 2000m of height difference in 150k. Secondary streets and discents in particular will have a key role in this amazing race. For this reason I chose to use KATANA, that will allow me to have a perfect driveability and comfort.

Ale
